Our Williams 28 Bass Boat was inspired by an old favorite, the classic Stanley 28. Almost three years after selling their Stanley 36, a couple from Marion, Massachusetts, decided they needed a new way to enjoy fishing and cruising Buzzard’s Bay with their grandchildren.
More than satisfied by their experience with the Stanley style and with our talented crew, they knew they would return to our yard for their next model. They were looking for something a bit smaller this time but just as stable, sea-kindly, and good-looking as their 36. The natural choice was the Stanley 28 hull with a bass boat top.
The result was the Williams 28 Bass Boat, combining great looks with solid design and construction. It accommodates the latest in electronic engines to offer a fast, comfortable platform to chase stripers. The hull is hand-laid solid fiberglass.
The decks and platform are crafted from composite panel construction. The boat is light and simple, with the engine and steering being the only mechanical systems onboard. A small head installed in the forepeak makes day-long jaunts worry-free.
A teak windshield offers that signature touch of gracious living, a defining component of the boat that sets it apart from other designs. Natural teak toe and rub rails complete the wood package while keeping maintenance to a minimum.
